Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (PYCC) president Sangram Keshari Jena on Tuesday said the PYCC would stage a rally on October 23, 2013 here in protest against the BJD Government’s recently launched State Youth Policy and its apathetic attitude towards the youth fraternity.
Addressing a Press conference here, Jena said the youths of the State has been neglected maximum in every respect during the 14 years of BJD rule. During the last Assembly poll the BJD Government had announced to provide employment to one lakh youths every year in the State but as on date it has failed to provide 40,000 employments to the youths of the State.
He further demanded the State Government that it should publish a whitepaper on how many youths has been provided employment.
“law and order situation in the State is in mess. While women atrocities are on the rise, farmers are committing suicide on regular intervals. The State Government has completely failed to check these unfair activities,” said Jena.
