: The XIMB-XUB celebrated the Republic Day on Tuesday in a unique way by organising Para Athlos, a sports event for differently-abled children.
Organised by the Social Responsibility Cell of the XIMB in association with the Harsha Memorial School for Deaf and Dumb, the event intends to provide an avenue for the differently-abled children to prove their abilities and sportsman spirit.
The event began after the flag hoisting ceremony, which was attended XUB Vice-Chancellor and XIMB Director Fr Paul Fernandes. Total 75 children from the Harsha Memorial School participated in Para Athlos in three categories. Various sports activities, including 100 meter and 50 meter races, lemon and spoon race, skipping and volley ball were held.
The winners later received prizes from Fr Bipin Kumar Kujur. Harsha Memorial School Principal Sanjukta Samantray was also present.
