The Eastern India Oil Refinery Workers’ Union held a condolence meeting in memory of senior politician Bishnu Charan Das, who passed away three days back, here on Thursday.
Union president Santosh Kumar Pattnaik presided over the meeting. He along with general secretary Ranjan Kumar Palei, joint secretary Niranjan Nayak, PPLLFU president Chinmay Das, secretary Mihirkant Sahoo, Ratnakar Jena, Eastern India Contract Labour Cooperative Society president Abhiram Samal, East Coast Beverage Employees’ Union secretary Babuli Charan Das, Ashok Kumar Nath, Siddheshwar Swain, Trinath Biswal and Amulya Tarai paid rich tributes to Das. They too observed a two-minute silence for his soul to rest in peace. All participants wore facemask and maintained social distancing.
