A selection committee meeting for shortlisting women candidates for the Women Peacemaker Award, introduced by the Maa Ghara Foundation Trust (MGFT), was convened here on Monday.
The meeting recommended names of five women working in various sectors in the State and outside for establishment of peace in the society. The five women are Shanti Das from Seva Samaj of Gunupur (Odisha), Ila Ramesh Bhatt from Gujarat, Bharam Sharmila Chanu from Manipur, Tulashi Munda from Keonjhar (Odisha) and linkon Subudhi from Bhubaneswar.
To select the deserving candidate among the five, audience voting will be carried out through the 92.7 Big FM. The winner would be presented with the award on the Mother’s Day on May 11, said MGFT chief Rutuparna Mohanty.
