A woman teacher was on Monday forced to march along the road by the agitating villagers who alleged irregularities in the midday meal (MDM) scheme management in Baleswar district.
The incident took place at the Banaparia Primary School. The teacher who faced the ordeal was Sulata Chaudhary.
The agitators, including guardians of the students and locals, allegedly applied black colour on the teacher’s face before asking her to march on the road.
The Sadar police began investigation after the incident was reported to them.
