A woman of Cuttack city was allegedly tagged as Covid positive without a test, much to the dismay of her family members and relatives.
Reports said the woman, a resident of Bauri Sahi in the Bidanasi area, had been taking care of her six-year-old son at a Covid Care Centre (CCC) at Bidyadharpur here since July 23.
After the kid tested negative, the two were discharged from the CCC on July 30. However, the woman was shocked to see her name being liarws as a Covid-19 positive case in the discharge report. She claimed that her swab sample was never collected for Covid-19 test during her stay at the CCC.
She lamented saying that the CCC authorities didn’t even respond to her query as to how her name was enlisted as a Covid patient.
“For wrong doing of CCC officials, my family has faced lots of difficulties. While we earn our livelihood from dairy, people have stopped buying milk from us. Locals have also ostracised us,” she alleged.
