The toll in the mass suicide attempt incident in Jharsuguda district increased to four as another woman died at the VIMSAR in Burla on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Bandita Biswal (35).
The matter pertains to suicide attempt by five members of a family here following the death of a family member. A woman, her son and three daughters had consumed phenyl after being grieved over the death of her younger son Deepak Biswal (22).
Pinki Biswal, Pushpabati Biswal (mother) and Srikant Biswal had earlier succumbed at the hospital while undergoing treatment.
Notably, Deepak had sustained critical after which his family members took the drastic step.
