A woman Constable of the Boudh police station in Boudh district has levelled sexual harassment charges against a police Sergeant. A complaint in this regard has been lodged against the accused.
In the complaint, it has been alleged that Sergeant Biswajit Tarini sexually exploited the Constable by giving false promise of marriage. It is also alleged that the Sergeant uploaded some private moments with the woman on social sites.
Members of local organisation Odisha Nari Suraksha Manch met district Superintendent of Police B Gangadhar and demanded immediate and stringent action against the Sergeant. The SP said stringent action would be taken while already departmental proceedings have begun against Tarini. Meanwhile, the Sergeant is absconding.
