A woman Maoist surrendered before the Rourkela Police on Saturday.Addressing a Press meet, Rourkela Additional Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Mohanty and Mahila police station IIC Prativa Majhi informed about this.
According to the police, Binaprava Meksima Kullus(32), a resident of Dahichor under Gurundia block of Sundargarh district, had fallen in love with one Suria about four months ago. Suria had promised her to marry and she had eloped with him, but she had no idea that Suria is a Maoist cadre. Suria engaged her in Maoist activities.
After she became sick, she fled from the Maoist organisation and surrendered before the police.“As per the provision for surrendered Maoists, we will provide her all necessary support,” said IIC Prativa Majhi.
