A woman Maoist, Siju Kanhar alias Pinky, has surrendered to the Kandhamal police. A resident of Jargisaru village under Phiringia block’s Sumalbandha GP, she had joined the KKBN Davison of the CPI(Maoist) on November 16, 2016.
Pinky was involved in the case of Sudrukumap contractor camp burning under the Khajuripada police station two months back.
Besides, she was a part of the Maoist team engaged in exchange of fire at Khanjalagu and Gagadapata. She was also involved in the Rabindra Mallick killing.
Pinky was carrying a cash award of Rs 1 lakh on her head. She would be provided a house and other supports under the Government’s Maoists Rehabilitation Scheme, said Kandhamal SP Pratik Singh.
