A woman allegedly killed her husband at Gudipada village under the Sahadevkhunta police station in Baleswar district and surrendered before the Baripada Sadar police on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Badha Marandi. He was engaged as a security guard at the FCI office in Baleswar and staying at a house in Gudipada. The reason behind the extreme step by the accused, identified as Sita Hembram, is yet to be ascertained.
Earlier in the day, the body of Marandi was recovered by police from the house. A billhook which was found near the body, suspected to be the murder weapon, was seized by police.
