In a tragic incident in Ali in the district, a woman committed suicide by jumping into a river along with her daughter following a domestic feud on Tuesday.
Sources said the woman had a fight with her husband on Monday over some matter; and in the afternoon, she along with his five-year-old daughter jumped into river Brahmani near Sorisapada village.
Some locals, who witnessed the incident, tried to save them, but in vain.Getting information, Fire Brigade personnel rushed to spot and fished their dead bodies out.Some of the locals said the woman’s husband was an alcoholic, and the couple frequently had fights.The police are investigating into the incident.
