A case of fraud has come to the fore wherein a woman allegedly got admission in +3 Arts in a college submitting a fake School leaving Certificate (SlC) and served as Swechhasevi Siksha Sahayak simultaneously in 2005 and 2006.
One Ramesh Chandra Routray, a resident of Bhatipada in the Rajnagar area, has claimed to have gathered this information through the RTI Act. He has also urged the District Education Officer (DEO) to conduct an inquiry and recollect the salary withdrawn by the woman during the above period.
According to him, one Satyabati lenka, daughter of Rabi Narayan lenka of Rajnagar, joined the Rajnagar Kendra Prathamik Vidyalaya on January 3, 2005 as SSS with an appointment letter dated January 1, 2005. She continued with her +3 Arts in SSJ Mahavidyalaya and job as SSS teacher simultaneously, which is illegal, alleged Routray in his petition.
After completing her Plus Two course in 2001, Satyabati lenka had joined the Secondary Training School at Kendrapada for Secondary Teachers Certificate course. She appeared for the examination in December 2003 and received her School leaving Certificate on January 14, 2004 from the school.
But before this, Satyabati had got admission in +3 Arts on July 17, 2003, Routray alleged. In his petition, Routray questioned the authenticity of Satyabati’s SlC that she submitted in the college for +3 Arts.
Notably, this matter had been brought to the District Collector’s notice in 2012. But no action has been taken as Satyabait has nexus with the School and Mass Education Department officials, alleged Routray. When contacted SSS DPC and In-Charge DEO Gadadhar Behera stated that the matter has come to his notice and he would conduct a probe in the matter soon.
