A woman chit fund agent working in the Kujang area committed suicide by hanging in here residence on Monday.
She was identified as Prammila Sutar, a physically handicapped of Barikho village. She had been working for the Golden land chit fund company for the past three years.
Report said Prammila was in immense hardship following the chit fund deadlocks surfaced in the State. She was physically assaulted by some depositors two days ago. An FIR was also lodged in the Kujanga police station to this effect.
The company shut down its branch at Kujanga soon after CBI was asked to investigate into the cheat fund scam in the State. Police have registered an unnatural death case and are investigating into the incident declining to comment on the circumstances leading to her death.
