A woman officer of a nationalised bank has brought serious allegations against her senior officer, including sexual harassment.
She said she had time and again complained before the seniors of the bank including its offices at Bhubaneswar, but to no effect.
“On May 2, I made allegations in the internal enquiry cell of the bank, but the Inquiry Committee didn’t perform its duties properly,” she charged.
Already 32 officers and junior staff have made allegations against the particular officer. But the bank is hesitating to take any action as the latter is an influential person and capable of handling things, she said.
Even three disgusted officers have applied for VRS recently as they are unable to work with him for his highhandedness and misbehaviour, she told.
“Sexual harassment apart, the officer is also commenting on my caste and threatening to throw me out,” she alleged in social media and tweets.
“I have served for long years in the bank with all dedications. But the bank management is not giving me justice and rather supporting a corrupt and unscrupulous person,” she said.
The incident has become a matter of discussion in the town. But the woman has not yet made any allegations before police since she still waits for justice from bank.
