Bodies of a woman and her daughter were found from a locked house in Kisinda village under the Kisinda police station in Sambalpur district on Thursday.
One Kishore Patel of Kisinda village on Tuesday accompanied by his elder daughter had gone to attend the marriage ceremony of a relative. On his return, Patel found the door of his house locked. He with the help of neighbours broke open the door.
He found bodies of his wife Sujata and younger daughter lying in the house. Getting information, police reached the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem.
However, it was yet to be ascertained whether the woman and her daughter were murdered or they committed suicide. Police investigation was ongoing.
