In yet another man-animal conflict, a male wild boar was lynched to death by locals at Gokhani village under the Rajnagar police station in Kendrapada district on Monday. The animal, weighing nearly 90 kg, had entered into the village from the Barunei-Gahirmatha forest. Noticing the animal on the village road, the villagers kept attacking it and ultimately lynched it to death. Rajnagar Forest Range personnel registered a case against the villagers for killing the boar. Inquiry is on, but no arrest has been made so far, stated said Ranger Binod Kumar Acharya.
