The Crime Branch, which is probing the mysterious death of social activist Aditya Dash, on Thursday conducted polygraph test on his wife Bidyashree to determine whether she is innocent or guilty in connection with the incident.
The lie detection test of Bidyashree was carried out at the State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL) here.
Besides Bidyashree, Aditya’s two associates Papu and Bikash would also undergo the polygraph test in the case.
The investigating agency decided to conduct the lie detection test after the statements of Bidyashree, Papu and Bikash mismatched with each other during a series of interrogations over a month post Aditya’s death.
Notably, the modern polygraph measures physical changes in a person's body, such as pulse, breathing and blood-pressure to detect a lie and it is claimed to be 80 per cent accurate. But no one can be forced to undergo a test.
