A 33-year-old man on Monday midnight allegedly set his house ablaze, killing his wife and two minor children, including a disabled son.
The incident took place at village Naharapada within the Jajpur Town police station area.
“The three fire victims were identified as Jayanti Sahoo (27), son Ashis (7) and six-month-old daughter Sraddha. We detained Ananta Sahoo, the husband of Jayanti. Police are interrogating him,” said IIC of Jajpur Town police station Kamal lochana Bhyuan on Tuesday.
“Police seized the charred bodies from the burnt house. We have sent the bodies to the district Government hospital for autopsy,” added the police officer.
