Even as the Cuttack Commissionerate police are grilling detained Cuttack ‘psycho killer’ Narayan Sahu, his wife Geetanjali has alleged that her husband has been framed up by police in the serial killing case.

She met the Nayagarh SP on Wednesday and demanded justice for her husband.

“My husband was living in Nayagarh since July 22. For his business he took loans from many people and mortgaged our house worth Rs 18 lakh for Rs 6 lakh. Some people assaulted him for unable to repay the loans. Following which he developed mental illness and left home.

Later, he came to the village and stayed here for 24 days during the time when the murders were committed,” Gitanjali told the police.

According to the police, Naryan had fled from Cuttack after brutally killing three persons. The police identified him reportedly on the basis of CCTV camera footage and forensic reports.

Narayan was arrested from Nayagarh district by the Commissionerate police on Monday. He hails from Odagaon in the district.

The Nayagarh SP has assured Geetanjali that he would inform the Cuttack DCP regarding her claims, sources said.
