MAlAY RAY

The estranged wife of the Rajgangpur Tehsildar has brought an allegation against him of having extra-marital relationship with other women and torturing her three daughters, who are staying with him. She has sought rescue of her three daughters from him before the Rajgangpur police.

Sources said Dalia Debnath has lodged complaint with police against her husband and Tehsildar, Rajangpur, Sarat Kumar Bag.

She explained that on Thursday evening her nine- year- old daughter called her over mobile and told that her father was beating her up.  After hearing from her daughter, she came from Jharsuguda and reached Rajgangpur on Friday morning. After coming to know that her wife is coming to Rajgangpur, Bag locked his house and was not available at home.

As per Dalia, their marriage had taken place in the year 2006. They have three daughters aged 14, 9 and 5 years respectively. She has alleged that before their marriage and after their marriage, Bag had relation with other women due to which cases had been registered against him in police station in Balangir and also in police station in Jharsuguda. After five years of their marriage, Bag had developed  relationship with one woman at Balangir. Regarding this, a case had been registered in Sadar police station at Jharsuguda.  Tehsildar Bag has been on bail in this case.  She has also mentioned that Bag’s relation with other women had completely disturbed her and therefore she had appealed for divorce which is sub-judice in court.

She has further alleged that he has now kept another woman at Rajgangpur and has been torturing their daughters.

“Based on her complaint against Tehsildar Bag, we have made a station diary,” said SDPO, Rajgangpur SS Beura.
