Additional Chief Secretary of Health PK Mohapatra on Tuesday asked the district administrations, Municipal Commissioners and health officials to undertake weekly health checkup at schools.
In a letter, Mohapatra directed the officials to take steps for mobilisation of ASHA and ANM workers to conduct health screening of students, teachers and nonteaching staffs at nearby schools.
This would also help facilitate the testing of symptomatic cases by RRT, he added.“Although separate SOPs in this regard have also been issued by the School & Mass Education Department, still we have to take precautionary measures in order to avoid any eventuality in view of Covid-19,” the letter read.
