Every child needs to combine values and ethics in their life. This would promote overall development of a children and help in transforming and shaping them into better human beings, said Chief Secretary Gokul Chandra Pati while addressing the concluding function of the 26th children festival ‘Sisumela’ held here at the Ekamra Haat on Friday. People’s Cultural Centre (PECUC) organised this weeklong function. Board of Revenue Member Ashok Tripathy advised the parents and teachers to give space to the child and support them in achieving their dreams.
‘Sambad’ editor Soumya Ranjan Patanaik said the parents should not impose their decisions or career choices on their children. PECUC secretary Ranjan Mohanty elaborated the activities, which were conducted for the welfare and development of the children.
Children were awarded for their outstanding contributions in different fields. The meeting was followed by cultural programmes.
