Governor SC Jamir inaugurated the seven-day Odisha MSME International Trade Fair, 2014 on Wednesday at the IDCO exhibition ground here.The Governor expressed hope that the trade fair would provide a necessary platform for young men and women of the State to set up micro, small, medium enterprises.
The fair is being jointly organised by MSME Department and National Small Industries Corporation ltd (NSIC). Around 270 industries have put up their stalls in the fair ground. The major industries include Rourkela Steel Plant, Mahanadi Coalfields ltd, Nalco, Hindustan Aeronautics ltd, Paradip Port Trust, Tata Steel, IOCl and Essel Mining. Besides, more than 16 nationalised and private banks are also participating.
The weeklong trade fair will have around 14 seminars, two each day, on different topics. Representatives of various companies will interact with the State-level entrepreneurs. They will provide various information and facilities for setting up industries.
