Owning responsibility for the murder of three villagers over the last three days in Malkangiri district, Maoists on Monday said they killed the villagers because they were police informers.
In an audio tape released to the media, Maoist leader Poonam Chand said the three had admitted to being police informers during interrogation while in the ultras’ captivity.
The Maoist leader warned the people that those who act as police informers could meet a similar fate.
