A girl student has gone mysteriously missing from the Bhubaneswar railway station. The family members said that Sweety Roy (20) had boarded the Jan Shatabdi Express from Howrah on Wednesday.
Sweety, a resident of North 24 Parganas in West Bengal, was studying at the Utkal Aerospace and Engineering College in Khandagiri in Bhubaneswar. Her father works with the BSF in Tripura. Sweety reportedly had called her mother after de-boarding at the Bhubaneswar railway station. However, the family could not contact her subsequently as her mobile phone was switched off.
On the request of the family members, her local guardian Suresh Panda lodged a complaint with the GRP in connection with the incident. “The girl had arrived at platform no 6 at Bhubaneswar railway station at around 8 pm yesterday. But nobody knows where she went subsequently,” said Panda.
According to Panda, the family suspects that some miscreant might have kidnapped her by drugging her. “The girl had spoken with her mother after arriving at Bhubaneswar,” he added.
