An inter-State coordination meeting between the officials of Excise Department of Baleswar, Mayurbhanj, East and West Medinapur and Jhargram districts of West Bengal was held on Saturday.
The meeting stressed on the raids on certain identified patches known for drugs and liquor production and smuggling. Baleswar Collector Ramesh Chandra Rout laid stress on creating more check posts which would not only help in combating trafficking during elections period but on a regular basis.
For effective enforcement, stress was also laid on preparing a road map. Creation of a Whatsup group for the officials of all the districts and sharing of information also was emphasised in the meeting.
