The annual general body meeting of the VSS Nagar Unnayan Parishad was held at the Bhubaneswari temple here on Monday. The meeting started with the lighting of lamp by Parishad president Krupasindhu Sahu.
General secretary Dillip Dashsharma submitted the annual report and discussed about the various activities. Treasurer Maheswar Biswal placed the financial statement.
The meeting passed a resolution condemning the construction of a boundary wall by the Utkal University authorities adjacent to the area. It also discussed the problems of the hospital and drainage cleaning. It demanded Mo Bus facility, a Laxmi Vihar road, a rail over-bridge and eviction of encroachments, etc.
Among others, Pratap Nanda, Trilochan Rath and Nimai Das spoke.
