Pradesh Congress Committee president Prasad Harichandan on Monday strongly reacted over a statement of Union Minister for Urban Development Housing and Urban Poverty, Alleviation, Information and Broadcasting M Venkaiah Naidu on the day and asked, “Where are the two other ‘Ds’”IJ
Harichandan said that three years back, Naidu had said Prime Minister Modi is “Decisive, Dynamic and Development-oriented”, that is, 3 ‘Ds’. But on Monday, he said the BJP follows only one ‘D’, that is, “Development”. Where did the other two ‘D’s disappear during these three years, he asked.
If Modi is decisive then how decisive is he on Mahanadi issue, for which Odisha is suffering, asked the PCC chief. Naidu says the Union Government stands for development. In fact, it is not for development but for “de-growth”, he remarked.
The country’s economy has slid down by for 6.1 per cent. The Modi Government, in fact, stands for three ‘Ds’ — Deaf, Dumb and Deceiver, said Harichandan. They do not pay attention to the plight of farmers, the voices of farmers and agonies of farmers though they had promised farmers to hike the MSP of their produces, he said.
“During the three years, there is no growth in any respect. These three years are not ‘Bikash Sal but Binash Sal’, commented Harichandan.
