Village-level mobile governance soon

PNS

For the sake of speedy governance and delivery of services to people in electronic modes, the National Informatics Centre (NIC) is contemplating to launch a village-level mobile governance system in the State.

This came to light during a discussion of Chief Secretary JK Mohapatra with acting NIC DG CSR Prabhu from Delhi over NIC screens on the occasion of inauguration of GPF automation system on Saturday.

“As the mobile use is getting rapidly popular in many remote parts of the State, a separate technology can be devised to communicate with people over mobiles about their entitlements, developmental interventions of Government and to receive their feed backs,” said Mohapatra. In reply, Prabhu said NIC would soon come out with a separate technology to roll out for village-level mobile governance in Odisha.
