Vigilance files cases against nine Govt staffs among 12

PNS

The Vigilance has filed cases against 12 persons, including nine Government employees, in connection with Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) plot and flat allotment irregularities.

The cases were registered as per the modalities of the recommendation of the Taradatt-headed Taskforce in connection with multiple allotments of plots, lands and houses under Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and Cuttack Development Authority (CDA), sources at the Vigilance headquarters said.

The Taskforce had last year suggested to the State Government for cancellation of total 921 allotments of plots and houses by the CDA under discretionary quota, which were made since January 1995 on the basis

of false declarations in affidavits.

The Government had handed over the case to the Vigilance Directorate for investigation after the Taskforce recommendations were approved by the State Cabinet.
