A Vigilance Inquiry has been ordered by the district administration into the alleged malpractices in the Deendayal Upadhyay Gramin Kousalya Scheme on the basis of recent reports.

A letter has been issued by the district Collector to the Vigilance SP of Sambalpur for an impartial inquiry, after which the issue is expected to be cleared. It is not yet ascertained as to who is responsible for the alleged transactions in opening fraudulent accounts in the name of the trainees and giving them false job assurances under the scheme. After the allegation, the Collector had directed the Sub-Collector for an initial inquiry.

After collecting the statements of three persons of Kandheikela and lakhanpur and verifying facts and figures from different agencies, the Sub-Collector submitted a report to the Collector.

The Collector found some truth in the allegation and has now entrusted the matter to the Vigilance department for a full-fledged impartial inquiry.
