PNS

The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on Monday submitted a memorandum to the Governor through the Pansposh Sub-Collector demanding a Vigilance inquiry against Odisha Khadi Board Chairman Tejeswar Parida for his alleged corrupt practices.

Hundreds of BJYM workers led by president Sushant Mohapatra too staged a protest meeting to press for the demand.

“Parida has taken crores of rupees as travelling allowances but has never visited places mentioned by him. Rather he was attending BJD party meetings during those periods. He has even taken money towards rent allowance though he has been allotted Government house. Besides, he is collecting commission from youths who are provided assistances for self-employment. The Khadi Board has produced clothes worth `5 crore against receipt of 100 crore ,” alleged Morcha in the memorandum.

The Morcha members too mentioned that Parida has illegally ousted many employees who had raised voice against his corruption practices. “We demand a Vigilance inquiry against him,” they urged the Governor.

Among others, general secretary Samar Danti, vice-president Himanshu Choudhury, Prashant Panda, Preetam Singh and Biswajit Banerjee were present.
