The two-wheelers and four-wheelers are checked regularly in Tarbha NAC area these days. Police give emphasis on registration, driving licence, insurance, helmet and seatbelt and fines are collected from the flouters. But the aggressiveness of the police personnel deployed for the work has not gone down well in the locality.
Sources said Kamal Agrawal was coming in his car (OR 03 A 8001) during checking time a few days ago. ASI Gananath Thanapati and other police officials ordered him to stop the car. But ASI Thanapati broke the window glass of the car instantly.
Similarly, another business man Manish Sahu was also harassed by the police. He was asked to show the papers while the key was taken away. ASI Thanapati was almost going to beat Manish. locals have protested the rude behavior of the police.
