The Orissa High Court on Thursday granted interim relief to actress Varsha Priyadarshini over her alleged casteist remarks against a staff of her estranged actor-husband and Kendrapada BJD MP Anubhav Mohanty.
Along with Varsha, the interim relief was also also granted to her mother and niece.
The court asked Varsha to file an application for anticipatory bail in Delhi since the case has been registered there. The next hearing in the case was scheduled for August 8.
Varsha, on July 30, had moved the HC for anticipatory bail after receiving summon from the Delhi police over the alleged casteist slur. The Delhi police issued summons to Varsha, her mother and niece for allegedly using casteist remark against and misbehaving with Anubhav’s staff.
