An annual day festival of actress and social activist Varsha Priyadarshini's charitable trust 'Sammanita' was organised at the Shaheed Bhawan here on Saturday.
Former Orissa High Court Judge Dr Sanju Panda was chief guest, Jatni MLA Suresh Rautaray chief speaker and senior High Court advocate Sujata Jena guest of honour.
Women from various walks of life were honoured for their contributions to the areas of social work. Specially-abled youngsters from the Nupur
Dance Group and Angika Dance Group performed on the occasion. Varsha Priyadarshini gave the welcome address.
The charitable trust has been working for the underprivileged and marginalised members of the society, attempting to integrate them into the mainstream.
