The entrance examinations conducted by the Utkal University here for admission in 27 post-graduate and self-financing courses began on Wednesday.
University sources said the entrance examinations for admission in the Economics and Political Science streams were held on the first day.
The entrance tests would continue till July 19.
The students, who have applied for the test, will have to download their admit cards from the university website www.utkaluniversity.ac.in
The results of the examinations would be announced in the last week of July while the merit list would be prepared on the basis of 50 per cent career marks and 50 per cent marks in the entrance tests, the sources said, adding that regular classes would commence from August 1.
