Renowned Professor in Anthropology and Fulbright Scholar Christine Finnan has joined the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) for doing extensive research on the institute and its activities.

She arrived here for this purpose with her lawyer-husband George. After passing Anthropology from the Stanford University of the USA and being a professor by occupation, Finnan will be at the KISS for more than a year to complete her research. As the US Government has acknowledged the KISS as a successful model school, it has been possible on the part of Finnan to come here.

The English Access Micro-Scholarship Programme is being run in the KISS for last five years by the US Government. The US Government invites at least five to six students and teachers of the KISS to visit America every year.

KIIT and KISS Founder Dr Achyuta Samanta said the US accreditation to the KISS and delegating a Fulbright scholar here for research is a matter of great pride for Odisha.

On Friday, Czech Republic High Commissioner to India Miloslav Stasek visited the KISS with an eight-member business delegation. He expressed happiness over the inclusion of the KISS students in social mainstream, providing them advanced yet free education with wholesome development.
