Even though a hue and cry was raised after sections of the Bomikhal flyover in Bhubaneswar collapsed twice claiming two lives and injuring many workers, it seems the Works Department has not learnt any lessons from it.
On Thursday, labourers and pedestrians had a narrow escape when the side wall of an under-construction flyover in Jatni town crashed in the morning.
Sources said a mound of concrete and iron frame collapsed and fell into the road. However, fortunately no one was injured in the incident.

Earlier, locals had alleged that massive irregularities were committed by the executing agency in construction of the bridge. The agency was using inferior quality materials in the construction work.
