Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday arrested one Susil Kumar Bhoi, VlW-cum-Panchayat Executive Officer of Raxa Gram Panchayat under Subarnapur district’s Ulunda block on the charge of taking bribe of Rs1,000 for facilitating release of IAY house installment of Rs35,000.
Birendra Nag of Hingma village under the district’s Birmaharajpur police station had lodged a complaint in this regard. On Monday, Vigilance police had arrested Pradeep Kumar Samal, Block Resource Centre Coordinator of Jajpur district’s Kuakhia block for allegedly receiving Rs10,000 as bribe for annulling a suspension order.
Complainant Banamali Rath, suspended Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator (CRCC) of Kuakhia had alleged that Samal had demanded the money for sending recommendations to release him from the suspension.
Both the accused were arrested red-handed while taking bribes from their respective complainants.
