A team of Umarkote Bar Association members headed by its president Prasant Kumar Sahu met Nabarangpur district Collector Ajeet Kumar Mishra on Monday and lodged a complaint against Umarkote Additional Tehsildar Chinmaya Sagar alleging his rude behaviour while dealing with lawyers and public.
Sagar, who mostly deals with miscellaneous certificates, is allegedly neglecting the applicants standing in front of the office veranda for hours together. If any applicant tries to apprise him about the urgency of the certificate, he harasses him on flimsy grounds, alleged a parent of an applicant.
Sensing the public resentment over the act of Sagar, senior lawyers had conveyed the plight of people to him in his office chamber on Saturday, but he didn’t paid attention to it; and on the other hand, he behaved in a rude manner, alleged bar member Rabi Patnaik. The lawyers urged the Collector to take necessary action in the matter. The Collector assured of needful action at an early date, said bar members.
