Clearing the air on conduct of UG and PG examinations in the State this year, Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo on Saturday said these tests will be definitely held. A final decision regarding the mode of examinations would be taken on June 18, he informed. Following a virtual meeting with Vice-Chancellors of the universities, the Minister said the VCs have been asked to report after holding discussions with their respective principals, lecturers and students on the matter.
“Last year, many States had announced cancellation of the examinations in view of the Covid-19 pandemic but we did not. Later, the Supreme Court’s direction came on conduct of the exams. This year too, the exams must be held,” said the Minister.
He also informed that online classes are being held and the courses would be completed by the end of June.
