The 150th birth anniversary of Maharaja Shriram Chandra Bhanja Deo was celebrated by the Utkal Sammilani here on Thursday.
On the occasion, the statue of the Maharaja at Power House Square was garlanded by members of the organisation. Sammilini general secretary Radhanath Praharaj spoke about Bhanja Deo’s contributions to the State and wholehearted support to the Odia language movement.
Among others, Jitendra Kumar Padhi, Banambar Parida, Dibakar Hota, Jugal Kishore Nayak, Bairagi Sethi , Jugal Kishore Nayak,Soubhagya Mahapatra, Kalindi Nayak, Prakash Chandra Behera and Surendra Pail of the Utkal Sammilani were present.
