The Utkal Sammilani Mancheswar Industrial Estate branch held its executive committee meeting at its office on Sunday with branch head Dillip Dashsharma presiding over it.
Members of the branch including vice-president Sital Chandra Mohanty and joint secretary Bibhuti Swain strongly opposed the nude scene in a drama staged at the Rabindra Mandap last week and a resolution to this effect was adopted at the meeting.
They also condemned the fixing of political party posters near the statue of poet Madhusudan Das here during the Prime Minister’s visit to the State. Executive committee members Dr Dwarika Nath Mohanty, Siba Prasad Mishra and Ashok Palatasingh were present.
It was also decided that the general body meeting and council meeting of the Sammilani would be held in April or May once a letter regarding this is received from the Sammilani central committee.
