The Youth wing of the Utkal Bharat on Monday staged a demonstration in front of the East Coast Railway head office here demanding early completion of various under-construction railway projects in the State.
The protestors led by party youth wing president Abhisek Joshi also submitted a five-point charter of demands to the Bhubaneswar East Coast Railway General Manager.
The party demanded completion of double lining works of the Cuttack-Barang and Khurda-Puri rail lines within three months and six months, respectively, initiatives to construct two more platforms at the Bhubaneswar railway station. Besides, the party urged the railway authorities to make the tracks free from polythene bags.
