The Additional District Sessions Judge Court here on Friday awarded 10 years of rigorous imprisonment to two youths while convicting them in a rape case.
The two youths, Rajendra Kishan (23) and Sambhu Pradhan (28) of Remja under Jharsuguda district’s Brajarajnagar police station, had kidnapped and raped a 16-year-old girl on a nearby hilltop on January 17, 2011. Villagers had nabbed them and handed over them to the police.
ADJ Sanjay Ranjan Bohidar too imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on them.
