Two more persons were arrested by the State Crime Branch on Saturday in connection with the question paper leak in the constable recruitment test, which had been scheduled on March 15. The two accused are Satyanarayan Das, posted as ASI (Wireless) at Boudh, and Shankar Sethi, who works as stenographer in the office of the Chairman of State Selection Board (SSB), Odisha Police, Cuttack. With this the total number of arrests in the case reached eight. The fresh arrests come a day ahead of the rescheduled constables’ written examination test to be held on Sunday at 11 am. Interestingly, the six people arrested earlier on March 24 include four police personnel. Among them, Kishore Kumar Mohanty, general secretary of Odisha Police-Sepoy Sangh, was also arrested for his alleged complicity in the case. Though eight accused have been arrested so far, the Crime Branch, which is probing into the question paper leak case, suspects involvement of more people in the scam.
