Border Security Force (BSF) personnel arrested two hardcore Maoists from Podapadar village under the Narayanpatna police station in Koraput district on Thursday morning.
The arrested Maoists are Palu Wadeka and Rami Wadeka. Acting on a tip-off about their presence, the BSF personnel raided Podapadar village and arrested them. Preliminary investigations revealed that the duo was involved in a series of violent incidents in the Narayanpatna area. Wadeka was carrying a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head. Meanwhile, the police have begun interrogation of the two arrested Maoists.
