The health condition of arrested Banki BJD MlA Pravat Tripathy is normal. His sugar level and blood pressure are under control, said Capital Hospital's Dr SK Dash.
The statement of Dr Dash, who visited the CBI office here to conduct a health check-up of Tripathy, seems to be a jolt to the latter and his supporters as attempts were in full swing to impress the CBI court to grant him bail on health ground.
Sources said the doctors visiting Tripathy are being pressurised to give adverse remark on Tripathy's health as he had met with a road mishap recently thereby facilitating his bail during the current 14-day remand period itself. Due to security reasons, the CBI has requested the Capital Hospital authorities to send doctors to its office for regular health check-up of Tripathy.
Sources said that on the third of the remand, CBI sleuths interrogated Tripathy on various issues relating to his link with the Artha Tatwa Group. The remand would end on November 14.
