As the last-phase three-day remand of notorious gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito ended, the Special Task Force (STF) of the Crime Branch produced him in the SDJM Court here on Monday.
As the STF did not seek any further remand, the court sent him to the Barimula Jail in the district. While he was brought by police to be produced in the court, the gangster told reporters, “I am innocent but being framed.”
When asked by whom he was holding responsible, he said “no comments”.
Sources said the STF might take the gangster on remand again to investigate into the other cases against him.
During the three phases of the remand period, the STF has stumbled upon several leads into Tito’s unholy nexuses and modus operandi to run his criminal network. The STF is on the lookout for his brothers, who were partners in his crimes. Besides, the STF is trying to round up the other Tito gang members.
